Main countries of origin of furniture imports. 2007-2009
The Lebanese furniture industry is quite fragmented, with the exception of a host of big companies, national production relies generally on craftsmen or small scale manufacturers.
However, the country remains an important player in the Middle East furniture market with remarkable trade relations with the affluent Gulf countries.
Furniture exports have kept rising alongside with production, to quintuplicate between 2000 and 2009.
Mirroring the country economic trend, furniture demand has been constantly rising over the last seven years; together with furniture imports that have experienced a constant increase in the Lebanese market
