Norwegian home furniture consumption totalled Euro 2.2 billion.
Furniture sales in Norway were driven by specialist furniture retailers. Specifically, Specialist furniture retailers drive the furniture sales in Norway, with IKEA claiming the lion’s share and Bohus being a top operator among the buying groups.
Clas Ohlson department stores and DIY operators like Byggmakker and Bygger’n are very active among the non-specialist retailers selling flat-pack furniture mainly.
The analysis of the home furniture retail industry in Norway includes short profiles of major home furniture distributors with analyses of sales performances and retail formats (bedroom specialists, DIY, furniture discount stores, kitchen and bathroom specialists, large-scale furniture specialists, specialists in RTA furniture/jeune habitat).
