Spanish home furniture consumption was worth Euro 9.6 billion at retail prices.
The Spanish distribution system has been in constant evolution over recent years. On the one hand, there has been an increase in the number of mergers and acquisitions among local distributors and, on the other, some international retailers entered the Spanish market through important Spanish partners (like the French Fly with Rey Corporación). Furniture is sold mainly through specialist furniture retailers, with IKEA being one of the leading players in the market.
The analysis of the home furniture retail industry in Spain includes short profiles of major home furniture distributors with analyses of sales performances and retail formats (bedroom specialists, DIY, furniture discount stores, kitchen and bathroom specialists, large-scale furniture specialists, specialists in RTA furniture/jeune habitat).
