Summary: a brief statement of the content of the report
The study provides data on bathroom furniture and furnishings production and consumption, imports and exports. Estimates (in values and in volumes) on production are given for the following products: bathroom furniture, bathroom accessories, WC seats, shower screens/boxs, whirlpool bathtubs, multifunctional shower booths. For each product, information on the used material (laminated, lacquered, solid wood/veneer, plastic, ceramic, glass crystal, wood, polyester) and shape (central back to wall, round, corner, rectangular) are included when available.
Figures on sales of the major companies broken down by product (bathroom furniture, accessories, WC seats, shower screens/boxes, wellness) are included.
For each EU-16 country we give details on production and consumption of bathroom furniture and accessories, wellness. Sales of the main companies by country are also reported, together with short profiles of the leading national players.
The analysis of bathroom furniture distribution channels covers: bathroom specialists, wholesalers, furniture outlets, large scale distribution, contract, DIY. Addresses of about 305 bathroom furniture and furnishings companies are also included.
