SCM partner of CSIL and Riva 1920 at Salone del Mobile
The Italian Company attends the Salone del Mobile exhibition through the World Furniture Outlook 2019 promoted by CSIL and two initiatives by Riva 1920: the “Timeless” project and the “Light Up Your Idea” Design Award
SCM, Italian leader for secondary woodworking technologies, confirms its decades-long commitment to the Italian and European markets participating at the 58th international Salone del Mobile furniture exhibition (Milan-Rho, April 9-14, 2019) through three very important initiatives.
The first one sees the Italian company still sponsoring the World Furniture Outlook 2019 (10 April at 11.00 AM) promoted by CSIL in order to provide an overview of the global furniture market with historical statistical data (production, consumption, imports, exports) and forecasts for 100 countries.
Instead, the two other initiatives see SCM partner of Riva 1920, a very fine example of professional excellence in the best solid-wood furniture. The one is the “Light Up Your Idea” Design Award to be culminated by an award ceremony on 12 April at 3.00 PM at the Riva 1920 stand (Hall 6 Stand A23 – B20) to reward for the sixth year the best solid-wood furniture design among all those offered by participating architects and designers. By so doing, SCM provides a concrete contribution to the development of young designers and of the entire furniture industry.
The other project is “Timeless”, a prestigious table made of Kauri, a millenary wood typical of New Zealand, 5 meters long and 14 centimeters thick, meeting point and fusion of twelve Italian excellence. The table, exclusively presented on 9th April at the Riva 1920 stand, is sponsored by Scm Group, world technology leader for the processing of a wide range of materials: wood, plastic, glass, stone, metal, composites. The table has been realized with the most advanced SCM technologies for the processing of solid wood.
