CSIL decided to launch a survey with the aim of understanding and describing the expectations of European office furniture distributors and the main sector trends over the next two years. The analysis involved around 100 office furniture distributors (dealers, distributors, interior designers, specifiers) located in Western Europe and surveyed by CSIL in September-November 2017.

In 100 pages, around 50 major e-commerce web sites are monitored, mostly active in United States and Europe. These sites are analyzed from different point of views: property (sites managed by furniture manufacturers, by retailers, web-only companies), logistics (with specific accent on mail-order companies), specialization (rugs, outdoor, bed&bath, lighting, cooking), market segment (luxury and mass market).

The Report ‘Furniture Flagship Stores’ is the result of: interviews with around 50 companies having experience of mono-brand or flagship stores in the furniture sector or in related activities; out of these 50 companies, financial analysis of around 30 players; excerpts from CSIL Report Smart and Fast Cities: forecasting furniture demand to 2020; desk research, processing and conclusions
