Since 2004 China is by far the largest office furniture exporter in the world. Chinese office furniture products reach over 200 countries, among which the US, Japan, Australia and Germany, for a total value of USD 3,400 million. China is also the first producing and the second consuming country. Imports are still negligible but fast increasing. 

In comparison with ten years ago office furniture supply chain can be said complete thanks to huge investments made by domestic furniture companies, mainly in technology and production systems. Office chairs continues to represent the largest part of exports, with 60% of total values mainly produced in the Anji district.
