CSIL contribution at the 2022 Annual General Meeting of World Furniture Confederation & World Furniture Forum

The 2022 Annual General Meeting of the World Furniture Confederation & World Furniture Forum was held online on October 26th.
During the Forum, speakers from different countries shared their knowledge and insights about the global furniture industry focusing on different topics, including innovation & development, market outlook, industrial chain, and sustainable development.
Alessandra Tracogna, CSIL Partner and Senior Market Researcher, was invited to present the latest data on the status and perspectives of the global furniture market.
After the analysis of the past decade’s development, taking a geographical perspective, her speech focused on the most recent market trends illustrating the exceptional performance of the furniture market in 2021, when global furniture consumption recovered from the 2020 decrease, even exceeding the pre-pandemic level.
Moving to 2022, she pointed out that the positive trend was interrupted, with most of the world markets stagnating or contracting. She then focused on 2023, with its challenges and uncertainties, before returning to more physiological market growth in the medium term.
The World Furniture Confederation was founded in Shanghai in 2007 and comprises several founding organizations, including sector associations, professionals, and experts in the global furniture industry from Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
