The Rapporto di previsione sul settore dell’arredamento in Italia 2024-2026 provides the preliminary results for 2023 and the forecasts for 2024-2026 for production, furniture consumption, furniture imports and exports, prices, competitiveness, and foreign demand of furniture.
The forecasts cover both the entire Italian furniture sector and specific production segments: upholstered furniture, kitchen furniture, home furniture and office furniture.

The forecasts for the trends are based on the econometric model carried out by CSIL analysts, which uses more than 800 three-month historical series present in CSIL’s database, the scenarios prepared by the major European and international statistics and economic analysis institutes, and all the information on the sector gathered by CSIL by means of periodic interviews with companies, operators, retailers and consumers.

CSIL’s Forecast Report provides an up-to-date and detailed picture of the furniture sector and the related outlook by highlighting the possible risk elements as well as the opportunities for the future.

CSIL’s Forecast Report becomes an indispensable tool for preparing budgets and updating them, defining business strategies, controlling price policy, monitoring the market general trends and when it comes to making decisions about foreign markets.

The 2023 edition includes a new section focusing on the financial analysis of the leading furniture manufacturing companies in Italy, in order to assess the health of the Italian furniture industry after the pandemic years.
The analysis is based on the balance sheet data of the main 500 companies operating in the furniture and furnishings sector in Italy, selected by CSIL. The time frame of the analysis covers the period 2017-2022.

The report is delivered in pdf format with an Excel data file providing all the major basic data (production, consumption, imports and exports) for the whole furniture industry, as well as for the specific production segments: upholstered furniture, kitchen furniture, other household furniture and office furniture.
