Key Insights from the Report

The Polish home furniture market is proving to be a powerhouse of Central Europe. After a slight dip in 2023, the market rebounded in 2024 and is expected to reach about EUR 5.4 billion in 2025. With a 2% real growth forecast for both 2026 and 2027, Poland is outperforming many of its Western European neighbours.

We are witnessing a major shift from giant peripheral warehouses to accessible urban formats:

  • Meble Agata’s New Look: Traditionally a big-box giant, Meble Agata made headlines in 2025 by opening its first compact-format stores in shopping centres though they haven’t abandoned the “big-box” entirely, with a massive, large-format store planned in 2026.
  • IKEA Goes Small: Market leader IKEA is following suit, recently opening a compact IKEA store in Gemini Park (Bielsko-Biała), supported by a dedicated Order Collection Point to bridge the gap between planning and delivery.
  • JYSK’s Expansion: With a staggering 317 stores already in Poland, JYSK is still expanding its network. They have a new 1,400 sqm store planned for the BIG Piła retail park for the second half of 2026.
  • Leroy Merlin’s 2025 Blitz: The DIY giant is aggressively expanding its furniture footprint, with three new store openings.
