In 2011, the Italian production of kitchen furniture amounted to Euro 2.5 billion, recording a decrease compared to 2010 and confirming the crisis the sector has been experiencing for the past two years. Nevertheless, in 2011 Italy remained the second largest manufacturer of kitchen furniture in Europe and the fourth in the world with a progressive increase in the propensity to export. The European markets are the main destination countries even though, the Non-European sales exceeded 33% and particularly positive performance was registered in China, UAE and USA by the Italian kitchen furniture companies
