World furniture production has been growing since 2016. The same is true for the group of the Top 200 furniture manufacturers, which, recorded a +16% growth in turnover in 2019 compared to 2015, increasing almost year after year.
In 2020, according to CSIL preliminary estimates, world furniture production was worth about USD 422 billion, down more than USD 30 billion from 2019. The Top 200 manufacturers registered a contained sales decrease comparing the world furniture production, driven by significant financial capabilities that allowed leading companies to quickly re-align business strategies, implementing new sales channels (e.g. online) or partially repositioning their supply chain
